Basketball game

Okay, one more for tonight since it's been awhile. Tonight we watched the Suns lose to the Lakers in game 6 of the semi-finals. Jason was here with us and with 4 minutes left in the game, he and Daddy were getting pretty intense. Daddy was talking to the coach and the players, trying to give a few pointers. ;) You asked, "Daddy, why are you talking to them?" Daddy said, "That's a good question, bud." You very aptly explained to him, "They're on TV, Daddy, they can't hear you."

One of my favorite things...

that you say to me occasionally is, "Mommy, you're my best friend!" It's so sweet. Tonight, as you were falling asleep, you could barely keep your eyes open, but before you dozed off all the way, those were your words. It melted my heart and I just laid there beside you to watch you sleep for a little bit. You're such a sweet boy, and I love you so much, Kaleb Jeffrey Godwin.

Butterfly...

Well, first of all, I promise that I never used this one for a Facebook status update, and I didn't tell too many people about it. You'll love me for this someday! :) The details? Well, you were running around nude for a little while, and you decided to play with your "boy parts" some. You were very fascinated that you could tuck it back inside of itself. You then proceeded to tell me: "If it stays inside for 5 minutes, it will come out a butterfly!" You then counted to 5, so I think you meant seconds. Regardless, it was one of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life!

Dogs talk

Our recent conversation went like this: Kaleb: "Dogs talk to each other in their own wanguage." Me: "They do?" Kaleb: "Yeah, one bark means yes, two barks mean no."

On a roll...

Well Kaleb, the last few days you have just said some hilarious things! The other night, our conversation went like this:
You: "Mommy, why are you grumpy sometimes?" Me: "Usually I get grumpy when I'm tired or hungry. Why are you grumpy sometimes?" You: "I'm grumpy cause you tell me what to do."
Yesterday morning we were getting ready to go to ANC and we asked you if you wanted to go to class. You asked which class and we said, the one where daddy used to work out. You said, "Rio Vista?" We didn't realize you knew what it was called. You don't miss a thing! When we were at ANC, you needed to go potty and I asked if you wanted Mommy or Daddy to take you. You said, "Daddy's better. He says random things." It was so funny.

Latte

Yesterday, we went to Copper Hills and afterward we went to lunch with the Hicks at Valle Luna. When the server came to get our drink order, you said, "My dad wants a latte." It was so cute and random.

You remember evrything!

About 3 months ago my friend Stefanie from The Cheesecake Factory was in a car accident. I called her about a week later to see how she was. We were in the car and when I got off the phone you asked who it was. I explained that my friend Stefanie was in a car accident. On Wednesday, she called me to invite me to her baby shower. When I got off the phone, you asked who it was and I told you it was my friend Stefanie. You immediately answered, "The one that was in the car accident?" I can't even believe you remember that!
